Power Grid Corporation of India Limited

📍 Bhiwadi, Rajasthan & PAL, Manesar 🎤 Addressed by Mr. Rajesh Mishra

An educational trip was organized to Power Grid Corporation of India Limited. POWERGRID operates throughout India with a transmission network consisting of roughly 141,920 circuit kilometers and 224 EHVAC and HVDC substations, providing a total transformation capacity of 295,980 MVA. Students observed electric poles of overhead transmission lines and visited the control room, acknowledging the future of India over the internet, automatic surveillance, and control operations. The trip concluded with a visit to the Power Grid Academy of Leadership (PAL), Manesar, to learn about its establishment and working environment.

Yakult Danone Factory

A one-day field trip to Yakult Danone factory was organized. Yakult manufactures a pro-biotic drink that can reach the intestines alive to impart health benefits. Greeted by the public relations officers, students learned that the process of making Yakult is completely automated with no human contact. They gained practical knowledge about embedded systems and control processes, observing how a single, fully automated system controls all the machinery, along with understanding the health importance of the Yakult drink.
