Atma Ram Sanatan Dharma College has been selected under the Second Phase of the DBT STAR College Scheme of the Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Government of India, with a grant of 1.94 crore. This prestigious recognition reflects the College's sustained commitment to excellence in undergraduate science education, interdisciplinary research, innovation, and capacity building. Aligned with the vision of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, the Scheme promotes multidisciplinary learning, research-based pedagogy, and experiential education by integrating teaching with hands-on scientific inquiry. Six science departments of the College actively collaborate under the Scheme to foster interdisciplinary research, strengthen academic engagement, and create opportunities for undergraduate students to participate in meaningful research projects.
The grant has enabled the College to significantly upgrade its laboratory infrastructure through the procurement of advanced scientific equipment and modern instrumentation, thereby creating a state-of-the-art learning and research environment. The Scheme has also supported faculty development programmes, student research initiatives, skill enhancement activities, workshops, seminars, and collaborative academic engagements, enriching the overall research ecosystem of the institution.
As part of its commitment to advancing scientific research and knowledge dissemination, the College has successfully organized several prestigious national and international conferences under the DBT STAR College Scheme. These include the International Conference on Chemical Biological Sciences (ICCBS-2024), the National Seminar on Artificial Intelligence in Biological Sciences (2024), the 2nd International Conference on Recent Advances in Functional Materials (RAFM-2024), the International Conference on Advanced Functional Materials and Devices (AFMD-2025), and the 3rd International Conference on Recent Advances in Functional Materials (RAFM-2026). These academic events have brought together distinguished scientists, researchers, academicians, industry experts, and students from across the country and abroad, providing a vibrant platform for the exchange of ideas, dissemination of cutting-edge research, and development of collaborative partnerships.
