Our Department

Department of Electronics

The Department of Electronics at Atma Ram Sanatan Dharma College was initially established in 1991 under the joint initiative of the Department of Physics. It was established in 2009 as an independent department. The Department of Electronics since its inception has had many able and hardworking faculty members. This gives comprehensive knowledge to students about power generation, transmission, distribution, and automation and control, in addition to providing in-depth, globally acceptable all-round knowledge to our students, including Material Science, Opto-Electronics, AI, Robotics, Control System, Communication System, Embedded System, Semiconductor Devices Modeling & Simulation etc. The department has further strengthened its academic profile through research activities in IoT, Automation and Control, Data Science, Microelectronics and Semiconductor Technologies. Growing steadily, the Department offers access to Hardware and Software Labs, to not only the students of Electronics but also students of Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry.

The Department offers the B.Sc. (Hons.) Electronics programme under the NEP Undergraduate Curriculum Framework (UGCF), with a curriculum that includes emerging areas such as Internet of Things (IoT), VLSI Design, Quantum and Spintronics Devices, Communication Systems, Optical Communication Systems, Control Systems, Embedded Systems, Digital Signal Processing and Photonics. To keep abreast of the latest developments, the department periodically updates and revises its teaching methods through IT-enabled learning, project-based learning, continuous evaluation, internships and industrial exposure.

Electrospark, the Departmental Society, organizes seminars, webinars, workshops and industrial visits to provide students with practical exposure and insights into the latest developments in the field of Electronics. The department actively promotes innovation projects, summer training programmes, internships and research-based dissertations that encourage students to work on real-world challenges. Students have consistently progressed to higher studies and secured placements in leading technology organizations, semiconductor industries, defence services and public-sector institutions.

Faculty members actively contribute to research publications, faculty development programmes, research supervision and academic innovation. The department also aims to strengthen its research infrastructure through advanced laboratory facilities, industry collaborations and innovation-driven initiatives.

With its strong academic foundation, modern infrastructure, research-oriented culture and commitment to innovation, the Department of Electronics continues to nurture skilled professionals and responsible individuals who are well-equipped to meet the challenges of the ever-evolving technological world.
