Paritantrika, The Eco Club, under the umbrella of Departments of Botany and Zoology was sponsored by Department of Environment GNCT, Delhi in 2013.It operates on the guiding principle of “Think Global, Act Local.” The club is committed to fostering environmental awareness and sustainable living practices among students by combining advocacy with on-ground action. It aims to build a responsible community that actively contributes to environmental protection and sustainability through collective participation and informed action.

The club focuses on transforming awareness into meaningful engagement through cleanliness drives, sustainability campaigns, and educational initiatives. Members actively participate in activities that promote waste management, resource conservation, and eco-conscious habits within and beyond the campus. Paritantrika also emphasizes creative expression and experiential learning to encourage students to reflect on pressing environmental issues and adopt sustainable lifestyles.

Key initiatives during the 2025-26 Academic Session includes a Cleanliness Drive in the Moti Bagh area, promoting grassroots environmental responsibility; World Environment Day activities under the theme “Beating Plastic Pollution,” featuring tree plantation, poster making, and awareness quizzes; and participation in sustainability-focused competitions such as Harit: The Way of Life and water conservation campaigns like #HashtagForWater. The club also organized a Plastic-Free Locality campaign, an Anti-Ragging Awareness Drive, and an orientation programme titled “Odyssey: The Green Beginning” to introduce new members to its mission. Additionally, observances like World Ozone Day, a National Seminar on environmental consciousness, creative initiatives such as eco-art and reel-making competitions, and collaborations like the Phullakusumita poster competition with NSS further strengthened its impact. Through these initiatives, Paritantrika continues to inspire students to move from awareness to action, building a more sustainable and responsible future.
