About the Speaker

Dr. Namrata Chaturvedi is an Associate Professor in the Department of English at Zakir Husain Delhi College, University of Delhi. With over two decades of academic service, her research spans Mysticism, Women's Writing, Bhakti traditions, and Religion and Culture, and she is the author of several notable works in these fields.

Her book, "Daughters of Meerabai: Portraits of Unsung Women Mystics," chronicles the lives of five awakened women, tracing their emergence from the lanes of Old Delhi to Darjeeling, and from Mumbai to Rishikesh, as they chart their own paths toward spiritual awakening.

In conversation with Dr. Prerana Sinha (Moderator), Dr. Chaturvedi will unpack her journey, her inspirations, and her own spiritual experience.

The session promises to be an enthralling one for students and scholars across literatures, offering a rich chapter in mapping India's mystic traditions.
