Report on International Day of Yoga 2022 Celebrations
Atma Ram Sanatan Dharma College, University of Delhi celebrated 8th International Day of Yoga on 21st June 2022 from 7: A.M. onwards in college premises with great Zeal and enthusiasm. College’s Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) organized this event under the convenorship of Dr Vinita Tuli (IQAC Convenor) and Dr. Neeta Azad (Event Convenor) and under the patronship of Prof. Gyantosh Kumar Jha.
Acharya Neeraj Joshi (Yoga alliance certified yoga teacher) was the Yoga instructor for the event. In his presence 200 people (Teaching staff, non-teaching staff and students) and members of various committees NSS, NCC and Gandhi Study Circle took part in this event and performed yoga. The event was live telecasted on Facebook. T-shirts with IDY logo, refreshments and certificate of participation were provided to all the participants.
A month-long celebration in the form of various events like yoga camps, quizzes and Yogasana challenges based on Common Yoga protocol as per the guidelines of Ministry of Ayush, Govt. of India, were concluded today. Almost 200 participants from different fields and different age groups participated in these events. Winners were selected on the basis of their performances and perfection in asanas and were awarded with certificates and mementoes on the occasion of IDY2022. All the participants were given certificates of participation for various events. Volunteers were appreciated for spreading awareness about yoga and putting efforts to make all events a great success. Certificates were provided to volunteers as well.
College constituted a Yoga for Wellness Society in college to conduct yoga related activities in college campus throughout the year and spread awareness about Yoga.
