Nationals at IIT Delhi (13 July 2019)
Student members of Enactus, ARSD volunteered and worked closely with Enactus India coordinators and students from Enactus Societies of different colleges for Enactus National Symposium and Competition 2019. Experiences like these only remind us of the ultimate goal of Enactus: “WE ALL WIN”.
SEED RAKHI – PROJECT SRIJAN (2 August 2019)
This Raksha Bandhan, Enactus ARSD introduced the ‘SEEDRAKHI’- a rakhi which has plantable seeds attached at its tail, under Project Srijan to encourage the protection of the environment.
ACADEMIC RESEARCH POSTER (4 August 2019)
Research-project based case study and poster by convener, Dr, Manika Jain, was selected for presentation at the Faculty Advisors Best Practice Session & Academic Research Poster Presentation @ Enactus World Cup 2019, San Jose, CA, on 17 September 2019.
ENACTUS ORIENTATION DAY (5 AUGUST 2019)
Enactus ARSD conducted its Orientation Program in the college campus to introduce goals, projects, accomplishments and working of the society to students who were eager to join and make a contribution to the society. Around 250 students from the college were present at the event.
WORLD YOUTH CONFERENCE VISIT (23 August 2019)
The team of Enactus ARSD attended the first World Youth Conference on Kindness at Vigyan Bhavan organized as part of the #KindnessMatters for the Sustainable Development Goals campaign to inspire the youth.
PLASTIC REDUCTION DRIVE (25 August 2019)
Enactus ARSD conducted its Plastic Reduction Drive with the help of a survey carried out with 201 respondents of age ranging from 15 to 64 years with the purpose of collecting ideas on the reduction of the use of plastic.
DONATION DRIVE (3 & 4 September 2019)
Enactus ARSD organized a ‘Donation Drive’ in its college campus encouraging students to donate non-damaged and reusable wearable clothes, denims, toiletries, and sanitary napkins, for use under our projects Kalakaari and Samvedna.
ADIDAS × PARLEY RUN FOR THE OCEANS
Enactus ARSD participated in a presentation-making competition as a part of Adidas x Parley: Run for the Oceans campaign carried out to avoid the use of plastic bags, intercept their entry into oceans and redesign eco-innovation around materials.
SULABH INTERNATIONAL SOCIAL SERVICE ORGANISATION (17 September 2019)
Enactus ARSD was invited by Sulabh International Social Service Organization to celebrate the birthday of Honorable Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi, as ‘Swachhta Diwas’. We set up a ‘Watch the Fish’ photo-booth to create awareness about the plastics in the ocean being the leading cause for the decline of aquatic flora and fauna.
Two teams from Enactus ARSD participated in Green Affirmative Economic Action (GAEA): An Inter-college Quiz on Sustainable Development Goals and Climate Change hosted by Enactus JMC and Curiosus at Jesus and Mary College (University of Delhi).
SESSION ON ‘SOCIAL ENTREPRENEURSHIP: CSR AND BEYOND’ (26th September 2019)
Enactus ARSD had an interactive session on ‘Social Entrepreneurship: CSR and Beyond’. The session was headed by our guest speakers: Mr. Vir Philip (a motivational speaker TEDx, Josh Talk speaker and a social activist) and Ms. Aakriti Verma (a Senior Distributor at a Direct Selling Organization).
Enactus ARSD took part in ‘Bizneeti: The Annual B-Plan Competition’ organized by Enactus Dyal Singh College in association with Education Link where we presented our Project Kalakaari received appreciation for the involvement and upliftment of women as a part of the business model.
Anti-Plastic Week (on account of single use plastic ban by PM Modi from 1 – 5 October 2019)
1 October- Enactus ARSD suggested alternatives to use of single-use plastic- coconut shells planters and canvas bags.
2 October- On the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti, DTTDC held a Shramdaan cleaning drive and pledge taking ceremony against single use plastic. To contribute to this initiative, Enactus ARSD presented a “nukkad natak” at Delhi Haat INA.
4 October- Enactus ARSD came up with a unique and captivating idea of presenting a video on how youth perceived the ban on single use plastic.
KAUSHAL DAY 1 (19 October 2019)
ENACTUS ARSD earned a chance to put a stall and extend the celebration of annual exhibition ‘KAUSHAL’ at Dilli Haat, INA.
KAUSHAL DAY 2 (22 October 2019)
The annual selling exhibition of Enactus ARSD, a stall was set up in the college premises to mark the second day of ‘KAUSHAL’.
ENACTUS INDIA WORKSHOP (15 November 2019)
A workshop was conducted by Enactus India on ‘Social Entrepreneurship and Innovation’ in Jesus and Mary college. Mr. Terry Torok, who is the Chief Innovation Officer at Enactus Global conducted the workshop.
Community visit (23 December, 2019)
The students of Enactus ARSD volunteered for a community visit to the Earth Savior’s Foundation, associated with Project Samvedna, to celebrate the festival of Christmas with the underprivileged.
Ennovate’20, Enactus ARSD’s first Enactus Day event, was held on the 5 February 2020. Ennovate brought together teams- Enactus or otherwise- from 30+ colleges, in a celebration of the spirit of social entrepreneurship.
The opening event- a panel discussion on ‘Philanthropy- From Dharma to Karma’, was graced by the presence of 2 eminent panelists- Mr. Ravi Kalra, renowned social activist, environmentalist and founder of the internationally recognized NGO, The Earth Saviors Foundation, and Mr. Amit Kumar Sinha, founder and director at Jamghat NGO. This was followed by the Enactus Fair, envision – The Case Study Challenge, En-quiz-ito, the quiz competition and EnAct- Promote to Float competition.
With plans brewing for a brand-new project and the team closing in on the handover of its existing projects, it is certain that exciting and transformational feats await Enactus ARSD in the months to come.
