Dr. Sandeep Sharma, an Assistant Professor, specializes in Ancient Indian History, Culture, and Archaeology at the Department of History, ARSD College, University of Delhi. He holds a Doctoral Degree in History on the topic "Memorializing Buddha's Birth and Death: The Making of Asian Pilgrimage Networks at Lumbini and Kushinagar" from the Department of History, Faculty of Social Sciences, University of Delhi. His M.Phil. focused on "Mahaparinirvana at Kushinagara: Historical Representation, Memory, and the Making of an Asian Pilgrimage Centre in Modern Times" from the Department of History, University of Delhi. He completed his M.A. and B.A. (Hons.) in Ancient Indian History, Culture, and Archaeology from Banaras Hindu University. His research areas include Archaeology, Numismatics, Epigraphy, and Revival of Buddhist Sites in the Indian Subcontinent. Dr. Sandeep was awarded the UGC Junior Research Fellowship and Senior Research Fellowship during his M.Phil. and Ph.D. studies at the University of Delhi.
