DR. ROSY SINHA

Dr. Rosy Sinha is an Assistant Professor in English, teaching at ARSD College since 2015. She completed her Ph.D. from Magadh University, Bodhgaya in the year 2005, her thesis entitled, 'Crisis of Identity: A Critical Exploration of the Major Novels of V.S. Naipaul'. Her area of specialisation is Diasporic Literature. She has taught Indian Classical Literature, British Poetry and Drama, Postcolonial Literature, Indian Writing in English Translation and many GE papers like Women and Empowerment, Media and Communication etc. She has taught William Shakespeare in British Literature Kalidasa and Sudraka in Indian Classical Literature to English Hons, students, and has published papers on topics closely associated with her research like Rootlessness in V.S. Naipaul's works, Exploration of Self, Agony of Repatriation etc. Her article on 'Partitioned Selves' was published in the journal 'Cafe Dissensus'. She has tutored M.A. students. She has actively contributed to the corporate life of the College. She has worked as member in various committees and societies like 'NIMBUS' the English Debating Society, the Cultural Society of the College, the Newsletter (Synergy) Committee, Discipline Committee etc. She has been Master of Ceremony during College events like Annual Day and Prize Distribution Ceremony, Orientation Day, Founders' Day etc.
